We are heart broken, we are pained, we cry daily because the killings wont stop. The leadership of our country is that which values animals over human lives. They prefer to import grasses for cows rather than import rice and stock fish for human consumption and when cows die, humans must die. Blood shed is everywhere, the earth is soaked with innocent bloods - even that of our priests and pastors!
With pain and bitterness in our hearts we have prayed and cried, we have declared judgement over these perpetrators of wickedness but it looks as if God is more merciful and forgiving than we are - of a truth He is! But do we have to continue this way? Who will save and deliver us from this evil? Can Nigeria ever know peace and quietness again?
Perhaps we have not prayed well or enough, or maybe we need to change our prayer point. Yes, i think so, i think we need to pray our prayer point.
James 3:9 – 10 with the tongue we praise our Lord and Father,
and with it we curse human beings who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of
the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brother and sisters, this should not
be
Rom 4: 17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of
many nations,) before him whom he believed, [even] God, who quickeneth the
dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
From the book of James chapter three, i have come to realize that the tongue has the power to Direct (James 3:3,4; Proverbs 18: 21), Destroy (James 3:5-8; Mathew 12:34-35) and Delight (James 3:9-12, Proverbs 13:2, 18:20-21). This shows that our mouth has the power to direct our destinies; and if we have a Father in Heaven that can call those things which are not as though they were, it shows that we too can as sons of God.
If we want Nigeria to be great again, we need to speak it. If we want things to go well again we need to speak it. I think the body of Christ has cursed the Leadership of this country a lot that is why things are going from bad to worse every day.
I imagine when God's anointed servants like Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Bishop David Oyedepo, Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche, Rev. Dr. Chidi Okoroafor, Prophet Isa El Buba, Apostle Johnson Sulieman and a host of others will in one voice say "GOD BLESS BUHARI", not because we like him and approve of the wickedness in his administration but because we are tired of suffering and deaths and so that it might be well with us; and even more because the Bible has asked us to "Pray For" those in authority not "Pray Against".
1Timothy 2:1-2. First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers,
intercessions, and thanksgiving be offered on behalf of all men, for kings and
all those in authority so that we may lead tranquil and quiet lives in all
godliness and dignity
Alas, we have not had quiet lives all these while because all we have done is to curse more and more; i see worst days ahead except we change our prayer topic.
Let God bless Buhari with a humane spirit, take away his heart of stone and give unto him a heart of flesh, give him a heart that values human lives over animals and make His (God's) name great in the midst of the heathen.
